The below average students have to make constant effort to be above the border line. The teachers give special emphasis on the spellings and grammatical mistakes made by the students and rectify them by giving lesser grades to students. Education in France is one of the toughest systems in the world known today.

The new grading system in France gives a difficulty to students. One reason is because the system goes something like a given grade of 20 means that you have garnered an absolutely perfect grade (which can be hard for the majority), 19 means almost perfect, and the number goes on until zero, where it means that there is no score or point gained.
